SimpliBe complies with the provisions of section 2(1)(c) of the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003. The Acts set out the principle that personal data shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for the purpose or purposes for which it was obtained.
There are 3 main types of data which SimpliBe retains:
Clinical Data needed to provide a service.
Financial Data from clients for billing.
Contact Data from referrals.
SimpliBe keeps both physical and electronic records of clinical data in order to provide a service.
The preferred format is electronic for clinical data.
Clinical data is deleted/ confidentially destroyed after 6 years from the last invoiced session.
SimpliBe keeps electronic records of financial data from those who use the service.
Financial Data is kept for 6 years to adhere to revenue guidelines.
Contact Data is kept for 6 years to allow processing of Financial Data if required.
If you require your clinical data deleted or removed, you must send an email to SimpliBe at info@simplibe.com citing your wish.
Financial data cannot be removed before 6 years; however, it can be shared with you to allow for any correction.
Contact data cannot be removed before 6 years, however, it can be shared with you to allow for any update or correction of material facts such as spelling of names, addresses, phone numbers, etc.
If you require data to be shared with any third party, you must request it via email to Magali Barthélemy, info@simplibe.com, or via written request.
SimpliBe complies with its obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by keeping personal data up to date; by storing and destroying it securely; by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data; by protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure and by ensuring that appropriate measures are in place to protect personal data. We only collect personal information from people who directly interact with us.
Unless subject to an exemption under the GDPR, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
Ask what personal data we hold about you and be given that information;
Ask us to correct, change or update any information if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date (see above);
Ask us to erase your personal data entirely (see above);
Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
